Animation turns the world on its head, defying gravity and shunning convention, accessing emotion and experience with a grace beyond the capability of live-action film.  Illumina unravels the world with thematic programmes of rarely-seen shorts and artists’ film - some self-curated, others by invited guest curators Gareth Evans (UK), PleasureDome (CA) and Edwin Carels (BE) -  all of which respond in some way to the festival theme, POSSIBLE WORLDS.
