Short Films 1: Unfamiliar Countries, Impossible Structures

From the computer generated galaxies of Bret Battey’s Mercurius, a continual transformation of one synthesised process, and the more organic, film-based work of Joanna Vaude (Exploration), this programme looks at altered landscapes, puzzles and abstract otherworlds, leading to the amazing found-footage piece Radar (Volker Schreiner) and the altogether more opaque and mysterious environment of Sylvia Schedelbauer’s remarkable Falsche Freunde.
